All of these materials are literally garbage. The netting is from a clementine box, the fabric from a bouquet of flowers received long ago and the ribbon probably came on an invitation or attached to a clothing purchase. But I had all of them sitting in my drawer, and they happened to be the only red materials I had to work with. I figured if whatever I came up with was hideous, I wouldn't feel bad about wasting materials that most people would have thrown away in the first place.
This is how it turned out and I think it's pretty cute. The real test will be putting it on baby (if it's a girl).
I received this handmade baby blanket in the mail yesterday from a former coworker! I was so touched by her thoughtfulness and the time she put into making this for our baby. Plus, I had a rainbow baby blanket as an infant that's still in my possession.
The first rose buds have appeared!!! YAYYY
