Recent Events- Week 13

It was a great week to be Vivian this week....

She got a custom-made puzzle from my parents' friends.

 She got to meet two of her (great) aunts for the first time! And her aunt and uncle babysat her yesterday while we went to the movies for the first time in forever. 

 She LOVES taking selfies! In fact, she loves any kind of screen. 

 We're starting to transition from 0-3 month clothing to the next size up, which means showing off more of her wardrobe! (Even if some items might still be a little big.) We've gotten many gifts from people and even a load of hand-me-downs from a co-worker! We so appreciate the generosity. 

But the best part about this week? All the smiling and loving from this precious girl. 

R&R

With the busyness of having a newborn, sometimes rest and relaxation are hard to come by. But easy dinners allow me to squeeze some r&r in instead of spending her nap time doing dinner prep. Crockpot sesame chicken is so good and so easy. I just put chicken thighs with Wegmans' sesame garlic sauce in the crockpot, then cook rice and broccoli on the side. Add sesame seeds to garnish.

 Even easier (and super affordable) was this dinner out of bags, thanks to Trader Joe's. The zucchini fries were amazing, by the way. 

 And, we're very lucky to have such great family surrounding us and wanting to watch Vivian so we can get out. We went to see the new Dumb and Dumber movie. It was our first time going to the theater with reclining seats.

Recent Events- Week 12

This girl loves the fireplace as much as I do. We'll be snuggling next to it a lot this winter!

Cutie pie has been so into her hands lately.

Haha- I've never seen her make this face before! She's wearing her "This is what an architect looks like" onesie from Lauren! 

Tutu and new pillows in our master bedroom. <3 We're about halfway done with our bedroom makeover and I will post pics when it's done. 

This week, I stopped at a bakery right down the street to get gluten-free cookies for a friend. They happened to be dairy-free, too, so I picked one up for myself and ate it in the car while Viv was napping :)

She melts me, from her playful little grins to her huge, open-mouth smiles.

Getting Back into Shape

While Viv's working it out on her activity mat, I've decided to do my own exercising. My ball, weights, Pandora and little buddy are my tools for kicking this remaining baby weight on days that I can't get out for walk. 

I clip the exercise tips out of magazines and create my own routine each day. I have a bunch cut out so I can vary the moves and target areas.

Halloween

Ryan won "Most Creative" for his DIY scale costume at work. He's so clever :)
