Reasons to Celebrate- Earth Day!

Just some pretty pictures of nature in honor of Earth Day, plus a project my sister made out of toilet paper rolls.

Shopping for plants for both our moms for Easter. This got us so excited for our garden!

Views from my flight and trip to South Carolina for spring break.

All this produce from the public market, plus fresh eggs, for only $10!

Ry's welcome home gifts to me. My favorite things :)

Animals are nature, too, right? Cute little Ivy- my parents' dog.

We went to my sister's house for a cookout over the weekend and I saw this on her wall. It wasn't obvious until I was up close that it was made from toilet paper rolls.

Happy Earth Day!

Romaine All Dressed Up

Our take on Caesar salad- Romaine, parmesan, local public market bacon, blackened chicken and homemade croutons, plus Caesar dressing (not homemade).

Homemade gluten-free parmesan croutons.

Ryan made this blackened chicken, but we used thighs instead of breast.
We enjoyed a nice glass of sparkling mineral water with fresh-squeezed grapefruit juice to wash this scrumptious salad down:) Mmmm

Perfect combo. Pineapple burgers with avocado cream and a beautiful warm(ish) sunny day. For the first time in months we got to have burgers on the grill.

I am a ketchup lover, but had no need for it on these burgers. So fresh and satisfying just following the recipe.

Worms came in the mail today! They're going to help us devour food scraps and fertilize our garden :)

My latest crocheting project completed.

I have a baby shower on Sunday and wanted to make a hand-made tutu for my coworker's coming baby girl. I watched a very brief tutorial on YouTube to get started.

And every baby girl needs the matching bow, of course. This is just lace, felt, a button and the same mesh. Check out my last post for a link to the tutorial.

All wrapped and ready to go. I used leftover cut mesh to make a bow on the box. I didn't make a card this time, but did a cut-out onsie for the envelope.

Ryan's been designing this chicken coop with our brother-in-law since winter. With the materials ordered, the men finally got to building. My hubby's so talented.

Can you say leftovers? Haha! We accumulated all of this from our own meals, plus three family get-togethers. Nothing better than leftovers buffet and no cooking!
