Riddles and Rhyming Romance

Valentines Day 2013 

Ryan and I don't normally make a point of going all out on Valentines Day. While we've never completely ignored the holiday, we've also never spent extravagant amounts of money, time or effort on February 14th. This year, however, we both, on our own, came up with the idea of creating scavenger hunts for each other. 

Ryan's started with a text message in the morning after he had already left for work. He told me where to find the first clue, and by the end of it had me almost in tears before work with his thoughtfulness, generosity and sweet words. Beyond all of that, though, I was shocked that he had planned the exact same thing for Valentines that I had!

My scavenger hunt started after work, with him coming home to a series of rhyming clues, in the dark, paired with candlelight. 

His clues led him to a candlelit dinner of veggie paninis on rye, homemade baked potato crisps, spinach salad, raspberries, and lemon sorbet champagne.
