I have accumulated so much ribbon over the years. I came up with this storage solution a while ago, but it didn't solve all my storage needs. So I went to Pinterest and settled on mimicking one of the ideas of ribbon organization I found there.
I wanted to make Vivian a tutu (yes, another one!) for Valentine's Day. One of my mama friends had told me she wanted to make a red tutu for her daughter, who is two weeks older than Viv, a while ago. So, we arranged a play date for the girls and crafted while they played.
We also each decorated onesies with sequins. The red bow I made a while ago (post here) out of clementine packaging, and was unsure if I would ever use it. Yay for creative recycling!
My little model :)
The heart garland was originally intended for a card craft for family members. The intention was to stamp her footprints on the heart-shaped cutout kraft paper. With all the supplies neatly lined up and ready to go, it quickly became very apparent that six-month-olds are nearly impossible to get footprints of single-handed. Between her hobbies of grabbing her feet with her hands and of thrashing them on the floor for fun, the cards were a no-go! But, hey, waste not, want not. I got pretty garland out of it anyway:)
Are you sick of seeing tutus on this blog? Here is a camo tutu I made for my best friend's daughter born this month! I made an almost identical one for our niece born in October.
New crocheted scarf. I wanted this golden yellow project done for fall. Oops. It's for me, not Viv, but I put it on her as a joke to show Ryan's uncle who teases me for my love of and collection of scarves :)
